The Triathlon Centre is committed to offering triathletes all that they need to make training and racing more enjoyable. Some of us require prescription goggles and don't know where to go to order them. Ordering online might seam a little scary, but we have made the process easy and worry-free.

The brand we recommend for prescription goggles are the Sable Water Optics. They offer a product with incredible value. This year they have reduced the cost from $109.99 to $74.99 plus a $5.00 drop ship fee from the Sable office which we have added in the price on this site.

Your colour choices for prescription goggles are mirrored blue or tinted smoke in the competitive version (style 101) or you can get them in amber, rose, smoke and blue in the recreational version (style 922).

To order, you will need to have your eye prescription handy. The Sable Water Optic goggles have prescription begining with -1.5 and goes in -0.5 increments up to -10. On your prescription you will see OD and OS. The OD is the prescription for your right eye while the OS is the prescription for the left eye. You can easily select your prescription from a drop down menu on our website from any of our prescription goggles found here.

The main difference between the competitive and recreational Sable goggles are that the competitive version has 2 straps and the frame is narrower compared to the recreational version with one thicker strap and a wider fitting frame. When I train and compete, I actually find that the recreational version is more comfortable, but then... everyone's face is different. As long as you can hold the goggles over your eye sockets without the straps on and they stay on your face for a few seconds, then you know you have a good pair.

The Sable Water Optic goggles come in a protective hard plastic case which you 'snap' open. Keeping your goggles in this case when not in use is a way to prolong the life of the goggles. The goggles come with different nose bridge pieces in various sizes to help get that perfect fit. The silicone gasket is designed for maximum comfort and provides a great suction without the need to have the straps on very tight. This helps to make the goggles leak proof if you have a good fit.

One of the main benefits of the goggles is the anti-fog function. It is maybe one of the best on the market. If you follow the care instructions that come with the goggles, these will last you a very long time. The anti-fog is baked on the inside of the lenses and not sprayed on like many competitor models. Sable warns to not touch the inside of the lenses to prolong the life of the anti-fog. The goggles will fog up eventually, but you can 'reset' the anti-fog but putting a drop of mild dish detergent on the inside of the lenses and with a clean finger, swoosh the soap around lightly and rinse with cold water. Let is air dry and then you are ready to use what will look like a new pair of goggles.

If there is anything wrong with the goggles, Sable has an amazing lifetime warrantee that is unsurpassed for all the parts except the lenses. The lenses have a one time replacement. The goggles are designed to easily replace any part. For example, the lenses, gasket, nose bridge, straps and strap attachments pop off allowing for easy repairs/replacement.
